Rain, Roof, and Grass Seed

We seeded the front yard, and layed straw down. The roof is all on now. We just have to get the drip edge on. Also, we framed up the garage walls in the basement. We took pictures of the waterfall in our creek... it was rushing because of all of the rain we've had lately. The HVAC rough-in has been started, and that's about it...

Rough-Ins and Windows

We got our windows yesterday. We have over half of them in already. We're still working on our rough-ins. Plumbing is finished, and our electric is close to being finished. We just have to hook everything up to the panel and run our cable and phone lines.

Roofing and Rough-In Plumbing

This past week we've been working on our roof and our rough-in plumbing. We've gotten about a third of our roofing done and are pretty much finished with our rough-in plumbing. We have a few tiny connections to make on the plumbing, but are very close to being done with it. We've been trying to work on the roof during the coolest parts of the day... mostly just first thing in the morning. We plan on having the roofing completely finished by the middle of the week.

We framed up the large spa shower in the master bathroom. We just told our framers to leave that bathroom open, because we wanted that shower a very specific way and wanted to frame it up ourselves. It turned out great though. We put a bench seat on one side and an opening in the wall for soaps or whatever. We'll tile the whole thing. I'm excited to see how it turns out.

Next comes our electric rough-in. Today, we bought a bunch of pigtails, wired them together and strung them around the house to give us temporary light all around the house. We turned on the pigtails and took a picture from the outside. The window openings lit up and looked pretty neat from the outside.

We had a visitor today... a small black racer snake decided to climb our block wall. We took a couple pictures of him too.
